Instruction on the NEW WINE
Luke 5:36-39
36 Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
The new wine is revelation
•The wine skin is our mind. •We cannot get the new into the old. •Old wine is tradition, culture, or our way of seeing things. But the Bible says if we stay in the old wine we will not desire the new.
The new wine represents the revelation of the truth.
•The enemy wants to display truth as being restrictive •The truth is that people get slain under the power of God but the truth is if we do not get slain it doesn’t mean that we didn’t receive.
New wine is freedom
John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

•How can we define free? It is when we are liberated. •This word ‘free’, is actually speaking of being set free from ceremonial ritual, in other words, religion. •To be liberated by God is an ongoing place in Christ Jesus.
There are two kinds of people
•There are the people who like the new wine and then there are people who like the old wine.
New wine has the power to destroy the old
The anointing puts the old man down. •It pushes us to new horizons.

Job 32:19

Indeed my belly is like wine that has no vent; It is ready to burst like new wineskins.

•The word ‘belly’, speaks of the spiritual womb. The Spirit of God brings forth the seed of the Word into the womb of our spirit. • The wine by implication is intoxication. •The word ‘vent’, means breaking forth. •The context of this scripture could be used in so many areas of our lives because when the life of the Spirit of God comes, it destroys the old things we have been so familiar with. It bring a new perspective on life - the way God intends us to live. It sets us completely free. But the choice is ours! •‘Vent’ also means to open wide and to let go free. •The word ‘burst’, means to hatch or to bring forth.

New wine is a constant mobilization

Matthew 3:11

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

What is the fire for? It is so God can burn up the chaff and those things that are restricting us from being where He wants us to be in everyday life. Why do we have this fire in our being? So we can go beyond where we are in 2018! •It is not that we have to put on a new behavior wherever we go – it is just that we carry a new wine. •The problem arises when we take the new wine for granted and think, ‘I have been in meetings where the Holy Spirit is flowing, so I don’t need to experience all that again’.

The new wine is an ongoing process, not a once off process.

In 2018, let’s push to see new horizons. •Let’s take this fire and become a more intense burning one. •A burning one, is one who is really prepared to get out onto the horizon and let God use them in a way that they become a consuming fire just like our Father. •That might sound intimidating, but that is where should want to be. •We are the burning one’s!
