Just because the situation that many of us find ourselves in does not reflect God’s love for us, it does not mean that God does not value us. While we are testimonies of God’s love, if our lives do not demonstrate the testimony of His love for us, it does not change the fact that God values us. God values you. That is how simple it gets.

The problem arises when we do not believe that God values us and instead we allow the opinions of people to usurp the authority of God’s Word and truth in our lives, and we face the trouble of low esteem. Much of this is self-inflicted. Low esteem is not God. Many people, because they have taken few beatings and bruising’s in life, roll over and play dead or just simply just exist – instead of experiencing a victorious lifestyle.

Genesis 1:26-28
'Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

We were created in the image of God, not our boss or our spouse.

2 Corinthians 5:17
'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.'

Old Things Have Passed Away
These old things were mannerisms, habits, sickness and sin that we walked in before we came to Jesus. They have passed away by all that Jesus did for us on the cross. Jesus has paid the price for everything already. He has come to set us free! Sickness that has been hindering some for years, no longer needs to be around! It has passed away long ago. We dont need to put up with it anymore. It is time to throw it off.

We Are Ambassadors
Because we have been made in the image of God, we are ambassadors for Christ, representing His Kingdom in this natural world. The word ‘ambassador’ from 2 Corinthians 5:20 means, ‘a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment’. This is who we are. Ambassadors in this earth representing all that Jesus did to the dying world around us.
Man represents God’s highest and best. We should take the time to meditate on this statement. We are God’s best in the earth. God made us higher than the angels. How can we allow the devil to push us around? How can we? If we really believe the value that God has on our lives, we will live differently.
God Has Given Us His Glory
John 17:22
'And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.'
Here in John 17:22, Jesus is praying for us. ( We need to take the time to meditate on these truths in the scriptures discussed above because our lives will change. It is here in these passages of scripture that we find our value.) The glory that we have been given is the identical glory that man was given in the Garden of Eden. Adam became naked when the glory of God was removed from him and suddenly he and Eve could see themselves in their useless state outside of God’s glory.
Originally, we lost the glory through Adam’s treason act. But we can’t blame Adam entirely because we still do the same today. When we hand over our dominion to the devil, we are doing exactly what Adam did. When we hand over our life to live back in unbelief, we are doing exactly what Adam did and the glory of God cannot carry us. God desires that His glory carries us.
God doesn’t just want us to go along barely get by street – and that does not mean only physically and financially but in every area of our lives.
God wants us to enjoy the joy of the Lord in our everyday lives. If we were to think about it – what does the joy of the Lord look like? When we see someone happy, that may not necessarily mean joy.
We need to be so careful that we are not seduced into other things when the love of God is not high in our hearts. Just because we are not familiar with the love of God, does not mean that is it not available to us.

Christ’s life was given for our redemption. And that is the intrinsic value that God places on each one of us. Take the time to meditate on how valuable you are to the Father. Each one is so valuable. If we can understand this, we will never have a problem with inferiority again. It will change who we associate with, it will change the way we look, it will make us believe things that God believes about us that we never believed about ourselves.
1 Peter 1:18-19
'knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.'
Value Dispels Aimless Living
As soon as we move away from God, we become aimless and then we try to improvise a lifestyle which is way lower than what God can give us. We were never called to live aimless lives. We have been called on purpose, for a purpose and purpose means to deliver results.
The profound truth of man’s value to God is hidden from man by the devil. When we move into unbelief, we move into his territory, and are unable to see our value in God’s eyes. That is when we serve God out of convenience instead of conviction. Understanding our value comes from meditating on the Glory of Christ.
Meditate on the Glory of God
2 Corinthians 4:4
'whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.'
When we begin to meditate on the glory of Christ, everything else pales into insignificance. How many people can be set free from our own lives? It is only going to happen when we understand the value and the glory that God places on our life. We are valuable to God. If we were to quit in unbelief then we would never see the fullness of the glory that God has planned on our lives. We need to grasp that we are so valuable to Christ that He paid the price on our behalf because nobody else could.
Man was created and his very position in the earth demonstrates the intrinsic value that God has placed on him. Just the mere fact that we have been created in His likeness demonstrates our value.
God placed each one of us in the earth where He needs us to be. The value and the gifting’s that He has placed in our lives is for the extension of His kingdom. We are meant to be influencers. To influence those around us with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To be rooted in His love and have an understanding of the high value we carry in His eyes. Nothing is too small or too big for Him to do in our lives. All we have to do is to trust Him. Trust His Word. Place value on His Word. Believe it when He says that He loves us.
Become Self-Determined
We need to transition into understanding our spiritual mandate that God has given us. Man has been given intelligence, perception and self-determination. Through self- determination we are to determine our destiny in Christ i.e. where we need to be. One of the amazing things about dominion is that God has given us is self-determination. The more we walk this truth the freer we become. We walk in self-determination by the Word of God.
Jesus has not made us subject to anybody. The self-determination that He has given us means that sin has no dominion over us. We self-determine what we are going to do. We are not to use excuses on how we behave in this earth. Rather we are to execute the Word of God on the devil. Let’s make no more excuses over our lives. Excuses break down our faith in Jesus until eventually we will not believe Him. Our destiny is self-determined through Christ Jesus in the Word of God.
Do A Self-Check
Allow God to love on you. Check to see how your self-worth is doing? When you look at yourself in the mirror, how are you doing? Let God love on you. Believe that God values you. If we believe His Word, that He really loves us, then we will respond accordingly.
